Jungle Ministry
For many years, we have been visiting a remote jungle village, called Rokbop (pronounced Roke-bob). Up to now, we have re-built a church for the village that was originally burned down by Muslim extremists. We have hosted many medical clinics and provided clean water, food, and Bibles. Most importantly, we bring the hope of the Gospel through preaching, worship, and leading a Vacation Bible School for the children and teens of the village.
Port Loko Prison
In 2023, the Sierra Leone Secretary of State heard about our many efforts in jail and prison ministry across Sierra Leone. He is passionate about prison reform, so he invited us to a maximum security prison in a city called, Port Loko. Three times a year, we visit the prison and bring Bibles, hygiene supplies, and food to the inmates. Our team members preach the Gospel, share their personal testimonies, pray over inmates, and lead worship. We are now building a church within the facility and have had the joy of baptizing many inmates and staff!
Jails/Juvenile Detention Centers
Since 2022, we have been ministering to staff and inmates at jails and juvenile detention centers throughout Sierra Leone. The Lord, through our efforts, has changed the hearts of many. Inmates are worshipping and studying the Bible together and some have even been released on good behavior. Staff has stated the obvious change in the environment.
Kush Camps
Starting in 2026, we began visiting what is called, “Kush camps”. Throughout all of Africa and even into Europe, there is a drug, comparable to Heroine, that has run rampant. We have found that in Sierra Leone, for many using this drug, they hang around the “Kush camps”. Our mission teams visit the camps to share the love of Christ and encourage these individuals to turn away from the destructive way of life they’re in. We pray over each person at the camp, give Bibles to those who put their faith in Jesus, and invite them to a local church for continued discipleship.
Prostitution District
Since 2024, we have taken part in street ministry to prostitutes on a downtown strip called, Lumley. In 2026, we found another area with many women prostituting as well. Some of these girls can be as young as pre-teen age. Some of the girls are caught up in addiction and prostituting so they can buy more drugs while others believe that this way of life is their only option. We believe that isn’t true. The Lord comes to bring life and life abundantly! He has something different for these girls, so we continue to visit the prostitution district and minister to these women and young girls.
